Workplace Safety

Ensuring a Secure Environment for All

A safe work environment is not just a legal obligation; it’s a fundamental right for every employee. No matter your role in State government, prioritizing safety benefits everyone involved. Workplace safety encompasses more than just avoiding accidents—it’s also about preventing risks, understanding the significance of safety in the workplace and about fostering a culture that protects employees’ well-being and enhances productivity.

In a safe workplace:

  • Injuries and accidents are minimized, leading to a healthier workforce.
  • Employee satisfaction increases, resulting in better morale and commitment.
  • Productivity flourishes when employees feel secure and supported.

Remember, a safe workplace isn’t just about rules and regulations; it’s about creating an environment where everyone feels protected and valued.

The National Safety Council is the expert in workplace first aid and CPR training. Guidelines detailing how rescuers should perform vital first aid and basic life support techniques are updated periodically based on medical research, and NSC is an active participant in this process.

Not all first aid courses are the same. Many don’t offer the comprehensive training needed to meet OSHA First Aid Standard 29 CFR 1910.151. NSC training meets this standard, as well as the latest CPR and first aid guidelines, and can be customized to meet the specific needs of your industry.
