Background
The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is reviewing all of its administrative rules as part of Governor Kim Reynoldsβ Executive Order 10. This Red Tape Review aims to cut redundant and outdated rule language in addition to addressing whether regulatory language is necessary. Every rule must be reviewed and either rescinded or re-promulgated in some form.
DAS Schedule
DAS and other state agencies have a set schedule for completing their Red Tape Review. The DAS schedule is as follows:
Agency | Completion by |
---|---|
State Library of Iowa | end of December 2024 |
State Records Commission | end of December 2025 |
Department of Administrative Services | end of December 2026 |
Historical Division of the Department of Administrative Services | end of December 2026 |
