Review of the Classification & Compensation System

DAS Human Resources Enterprise has begun working on a review of the State’s current job classifications and series guidelines.  In our review we want to ensure the range of existing classifications and associated compensation ranges are appropriately positioned to support the needs of our workforce.  In addition to a review of the existing classifications, we will determine the needs of new classifications to align with the evolving needs around newer areas of work.

As this is a large-scale review of over 800 job classifications, we will be prioritizing those classification series which have statewide impacts.  This will be a multi-year project that will align with EO10 requirements and possible collective bargaining.  As we plan out our priorities and milestones, we will place updates on this website.

Any current request for changes to existing classifications received by DAS-HRE is being reviewed as part of the overall priority list.  If there are any current discussions within an agency in regards to possible changes to existing indigenous classifications, please work with your Human Resources Consultant (HRC) for review and recommendations.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your assigned HRC.
