Participating in CPM is an important, unique educational opportunity. CPM gives public managers the chance to demonstrate their commitment to public leadership and development, as well as the opportunity to build long term relationships with other public managers in the community.
New CPM cohorts begin every six months. Applications are due at least one month prior to the start of the program. Due to the growth and popularity of the program, it is important to submit applications in a timely manner in order to secure a seat in the next cohort.
When considering participation in the CPM program, please first review the following items:
If it is determined an interested individual is able to fully comply with the eligibilities and responsibilities of the program, he or she should then complete a CPM application with approval of their organization.
The application includes the following items:
- Participant information and experience
- Billing information and preferences
- Signed Letter of Intent
- Recommendation letter from supervisor

Applicants will receive an admission notification from DAS-HRE-Performance & Development Solutions following receipt of a properly completed and endorsed application. Incomplete applications will be returned to the individual, and they may not be guaranteed a spot in the program until all appropriate application information has been returned.
