Excessive postage in lieu of a meter strip.
- Leaking an unknown powder, liquid, odor.
- Misspelling common words.
- No Return address or fictitious return address.
- Excessive weight.
- Protruding wires or aluminum foil.
- Excessive security materials
- Ticking sound.
- Marked with restrictive endorsements - "Personal" or "Confidential".
- Postmarked city/state is different from the city/state return address

Handling Suspicious Mail
- Notify management, security and all employees in the area that a suspicious package has been detected.
- Handle the package with care - Do not shake or empty the contents.
- Leave the package "as is" - Do not cover or bag.
- Photograph or capture as much information on the item as possible.
- Isolate the area if possible. Leave the Room, close the door, etc.
- Wash hands, arms, and other exposed surfaces with soap and water
