When you have exhausted all of your sick, vacation, and compensatory time off, you may request leave without pay. The leave without pay processes and procedures may differ depending upon your collective bargaining agreement or the administrative rules. If you are on an extended leave due to a work-related injury, you may elect to use your sick, vacation, and compensatory time off to supplement workers’ compensation benefits.
You may elect to supplement your workers’ compensation benefits any time during the period you are receiving benefits.
If you elect to supplement your workers’ compensation benefits with your accrued time off, the supplementary payments continue until your sick, vacation, and compensatory time is exhausted or you are no longer eligible for workers’ compensation benefits, whichever comes first.
