Medicare requires the State to notify Medicare-eligible retirees whether their State prescription drug coverage is Creditable Coverage (meaning it is as good as or better than the standard Medicare prescription drug coverage - Part D.) To avoid paying a penalty or higher premium, keep a copy of the notice should you decide to join a different Medicare Part D drug plan in the future.
