Q1:   What is an Online Payroll Warrant?  
  A1:   The Online Payroll Warrant is considered the “pay-check stub” and replaces the traditional paper “pay stub”. It contains information for State of Iowa employees, including:
     •  Wage Payments
     •  Deductions
     •  Leave Accruals
     •  Usages
     •  Balances
     •  Tax Status Information
     •  State Share Amounts paid on behalf of the Employee

  Q2:   How many State Departments use the Online Payroll Warrant system?  
  A2:   Currently all departments have access to the Online Payroll Warrant system. More than 18,000 State of Iowa employees are able to view pay and leave information online. top
     
  Q3:   How much information is available online?  
  A3:   There is information available for the different types of:
     •  Earnings
     •  Deductions
     •  Leave Categories
     •  Year-to-Date Contributions
     •  Current W-4 Status for Federal and State Tax Withholdings

Employees can also easily access payroll warrant information for the previous and current calendar years.

  Q4:   I don't use a computer at work. Will I still be able to access the Online Payroll Warrant system?  
  A4:   The Online Payroll Warrant website is a web-based program available at work, home, or through any computer with Internet access. Departments may also arrange to have computer access available to its employees. top
     
  Q5:   Can I print my pay information from the Online Payroll Warrant website?  
  A5:   Yes. The Online Payroll Warrant website has your current Payroll Warrant information and includes previous calendar years. All Online Payroll Warrant information, including the previous calendar years, may be printed. top
     
  Q6:   Is anyone else able to view my Online Payroll Warrant information online?  
  A6:   No. Because the system requires your State of Iowa email address as your unique username and password in order to access the Online Payroll Warrant website, you are the only individual able to view your information. top
     
  Q7:   Is the Online Payroll Warrant system available only to employees who have their net pay directly deposited into a checking or savings account?  
  A7:   No, it is also available to employees who opt to receive a paper payroll warrant. You will continue to receive the printed payroll detail attached to that paper payroll warrant. However, fewer details are provided on the paper document versus the Online Payroll Warrant. top
