Group Insurance: Executive Branch Employees Promoted, Transferred, Reclassified or Demoted after 7/1/17

Prior to July 1, 2017

If an employee moves to a different bargaining group due to a promotion, transfer, reclassification, or demotion, will be eligible for the health plans, available for the bargaining group that they have moved too.

On or after July 1, 2017

If an employee moves to a different bargaining group due to a promotion, transfer, reclassification, or demotion, will be eligible for health plans available to executive branch non-contract employees.

2017 Monthly Health Insurance Premiums 

You share in the cost of health insurance by paying 20 percent of the total health insurance premium. You can reduce the amount of your health insurance premium contribution by $111 per month by participating in the Healthy Opportunities Wellness Program.

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance coverage is effective the first of the calendar month following the promotion, transfer, reclassification, or demotion 

If you move into an UE/IUP-covered position as a result of a promotion, transfer, reclassification, or demotion on or after July 1, 2017, your 
contribution toward family dental insurance will be $38.52 per month instead of $48.38 per month.

Life Insurance

An UE/IUP employee who changes bargaining group as a result of a promotion, transfer, reclassification, or demotion on or after July 1, 2017, can increase the amount of their supplemental life insurance to $100,000 with no medical underwriting. The election to increase the supplemental life insurance must be made within the the first 30 days of eligibility.
