Shipping of Hazardous Materials

Before you ship hazardous or potentially hazardous materials, be sure you know proper procedures and requirements. The DAS Mail Center does not package materials for shipping, so it is the agencies’ responsibility to follow the rules of the carrier they are using. Links to hazardous materials information for FedEx, UPS and the United States Postal Service are provided below for your information.

FedEx

If you have questions, contact the FedEx Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Hotline at 800-463-3339 and say "hazardous materials."

UPS

If you have any questions about shipping hazardous materials with UPS, please call the UPS Hazardous Materials Support Center at 800-554-9964.

United States Postal Service (USPS)

If you are unsure whether a material is considered hazardous or is prohibited, please contact 800-ASK-USPS or the local Business Mail Entry Unit at:
