What to do
Follow these procedures in the event of glass or windshield damage:
- If visibility is impaired or towing service is needed, call DAS Fleet Services (515-281-3162). After hours, call Hanifen Towing (800-383-3205) or local law enforcement.
- Find a windshield vendor on the Contracted Service Providers map or contact Safelite AutoGlass. If unavailable, any licensed retailer that will bill the State directly may be used.
- No prior authorization is required from DAS Fleet Services for glass repair or replacement. Use the vehicle number as your PO. If using Safelite please contact DAS Fleet Services for the latest account number.
