State Capitol Closed on October 20
Replacement of electrical equipment necessitates closure

DES MOINES — Iowa’s State Capitol building will be closed for the day on Saturday, October 20 due to the replacement of high voltage electrical equipment.

Depending on the progress of work on October 20, additional Saturday closings may be necessary. Every effort will be made to complete the work on October 20. Notice regarding additional closings will be provided, if necessary.
