Lucas State Office Building to Reopen
The building will reopen for business on Monday, August 27

DES MOINES — Clean up work at the Lucas State Office Building will be completed by the end of the day; the air handling and elevator systems are back in operation. The building was closed early this morning due to wastewater entering the building through the basement. The basement includes agency storage areas and assessment of the inventory continues. The investigation into the cause of the incident continues.
