State of Iowa Surplus Property Program

A new approach to selling or disposing of surplus State property

Effective October 1, 2008, the Department of Administrative Services reassumed responsibility for the state surplus property program. Formerly, Iowa Prison Industries contracted with DAS to manage this program. There is no longer a storefront operation; instead, most items will be sold online. DAS has contracted with Purple Wave, an online auction service, to assist state departments with their surplus property.
